A. Award construction contracts totaling $400 million, including:
- Recreation and Cultural Facilities program - Award 15 park system
projects with an estimated construction value of $12 million.
- Wastewater Program - Award 42 Wastewater collection system projects with an estimated construction value of $142 million
- Wastewater Program - Award 16 Wastewater treatment plant projects with an estimated construction value of $40 million
- Wastewater Program - Award the Avenue 45 Arroyo Drive Relief Sewer Project and the North Outfall Sewer Rehabilitation Project - Siphon to Diversion 4 with a combined construction value of $110 million.
- Wastewater Program - Award the $28 million Primary Battery C Modifications project at the Hyperion Treatment Plant
- Street Improvement Group - Award 5 traffic safety and congestion relief construction projects.
- Bridge Improvement Program - Award 6 projects, including the 1st Street Bridge, Phase III.
- Municipal facilities Program - Award $65 million LAPD Motor Transport Div/Main Street Parking Structure and Aiso Street Parking Structure construction contract.
- Municipal Facilities Program - Award 4 Universal Access Playground projects
- Municipal Facilities Program - Award 1 LNG/CNG maintenance facility and 3 new LNG/CNG fueling station projects.
B. Complete the construction of the following projects:
- Public Safety Facilities Bond Program (Proposition Q) - Complete construction of the Valley Bureau and Traffic Div Headquarters, and 3 new police stations - Rampart, Mid-City and Harbor Area Stations.
- Fire Facilities Bond Program (Proposition F) - Complete the construction of the Palms and Northridge Fire Stations, thereby reaching a total of 15 completed Fire Bond Projects.
- Recreational and Cultural Facilities Program (Funded by Propositions K, 12, 40 and various grants) - Complete the construction of 18 park projects during the year.
- Wastewater Program - Complete the construction of 20 sewer collection system projects with a construction value of $19.5 million.
- Wastewater Program - Complete the construction of 20 wastewater treatment plant projects with a construction value of $50 million.
- Wastewater Program - Complete the final construction project on the $100 million program to implement nitrogen removal at the Donald C. Tillman and the Los Angeles-Glendale Wastewater Reclamation Plants.
- Wastewater Program - Complete construction of the $70 million, Lower North Outfall Sewer Rehabilitation Project - HTP to Siphon.
- Stormwater Program - Complete the construction of 5 projects that reduce flooding in the city.
- Bridge Improvement Program - Complete construction of 4 other projects for bridge improvements that provide for seismic retrofitting and widening to increase capacity.
- Municipal Facilities Program - Complete construction of 4 Universal Access Playground projects.
- Municipal Facilities Program - Complete construction of 1 CNG/LNG fueling facilities projects.
- Municipal Facilities Program - complete construction of Lanark and Northridge pools.
C. Reach 50% construction completion for the Police Headquarters Facility project.
D. Exceed the requirement to rehabilitate 60 miles/year of the sewer system as provided by the Collection System Settlement Agreement (CCSA).
E. Prop O Program - Complete construction of 1 project. Complete design on 2 projects. Complete 80% design on 3 projects.
F. Complete the last of the 43 FEMA projects in the Storm Damage Recovery Program.
G. Implement the Public Way Reservation System city-wide for all activities involving the City's streets in order to relieve congestion.
H. Increase Internet application and issuance of A-Permits, B-Permits, E-Permits and S-Permits by at least 5% to reduce trips to public counters.
I. Process development entitlements and permits for the Grand/Avenue Civic Center project and other major housing and economic developments throughout the City in a timely manner.
