Grand Opening of the Glassell Park Transit Pavilion
On Saturday, September 9th, the Bureau of Engineering and Councilmember Gil Cedillo celebrated the grand opening of the Glassell Park Transit Pavilion. The Glassell Park Transit Pavilion is a large new bus stop and waiting area. It is shaded by three canopies and is complete with benches, security lighting, and sidewalk and curb repairs. The bus stop also includes landscaping, showcasing a few different types of cacti to liven up the area. Right across the street from the traffic island on which the bus stop is located at San Fernando Road and Eagle Rock Boulevard, there is a high school full of students who make use of the public busses and who no longer have to wait in the hot LA sun. The new transit pavilion is also utilised by the tenants of a nearby apartment complex.
