History
Fire Station 82 was constructed in 1951 and is located at 1800 N.
Bronson. The existing facility is 7,145 square feet and houses a Single Engine
and Rescue Ambulance and is staffed by 4 firefighters and 2 paramedics.
Fire Station 82’s district is approximately 2 square miles and serves the Hollywood
area. When originally built
the district was predominately residential.
Today the district is a mix of residential and commercial.
Within the district are Griffith Park, several television studios,
many expensive homes and heavy brush areas.
Reason
for Project
The existing fire station is overcrowded
and its main systems are antiquated. The current site is too small to accommodate
a replacement Regional Fire/Paramedic Station.
Evaluation
Of Current Facility
