Reason for Project
The existing fire station is located at 7063 Laurel Canyon Blvd.  It was constructed in 1959 and is also used as the "Valley's" Recruit Training Center.  Based on a study of operational needs, the current facility lacks protected areas for the storage of the numerous reserve apparatus housed at Fire Station 89.  In addition, the drill tower located at this facility is routinely used for training and currently lacks an adequate a multi-purpose training room.
