The Sixth Street Viaduct Division manages the $482M replacement of the iconic Sixth Street Viaduct, which includes a new 3,500 foot long network tied arch structure that will incorporate wide sidewalks, bicycle lanes, artistic lighting, and a new 12-acre park beneath the viaduct. The Division also manages approximately $23M in Active Transportation Program improvements that will add sidewalks, traffic signals, street lighting, and street improvements in the areas around the bridge to enhance mobility for bicyclists and pedestrians.
